As a Christian, what are you doing? What motivates you? Where are you going? What guides you? What is the state of your mind? Is the state of your mind becoming a visible reality?
In this post, we’ll explore the topic of “vision-mindedness.”
In the book of Habakkuk 2:2, the Lord answered me and said, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.”
What is vision?
Vision is a photographic picture of the future you desire and see in your heart, which drives you to action.
Are you a person of vision?
Do you have a vision? If yes, what are you doing about it, and what have you done to make it happen?
Vision without a plan, strategy, and execution is just wishful thinking.
Recall what Habakkuk 2:2 says about writing the vision. As a Christian, write down your vision, make it clear, and publish it.
When your vision is from God, there will be a strong desire to make it happen. The question is, is your vision from God? It is not just wishful thinking that brings your vision to accomplishment, that brings your vision to pass with a rightful focus.
And as Christians, our vision should be our focus. A person of vision is a person of focus.
A person without focus is a person without direction. So, if you don’t have a vision, you cannot be focused on a direction.
What is your focus?
Remember your focus is your responsibility. Your focus is your personal decision. You determine it.
When you are focused on your vision, you mind the company you keep. You mind who you listen to, what you watch, and what you read.
Who are your friends? Who are the people you are surrounded by? Are they people of vision? The company you keep speaks volumes about you.
Don’t forget, it takes a person of vision to recognize another person of vision.
Why You Need to Have a Vision
Relationships: Vision helps us determine who to befriend and who to partner with. It guides us in choosing our companions and collaborators. Who are your friends?
Decision Making: Vision influences our decisions and choices. It fosters discipline, which, in turn, develops the essential character traits needed to realize that vision.
What are these qualities? Temperance, humility, endurance, patience, forbearance, modesty, and more. If you lack these qualities, I doubt you are a person of vision.
Because, a person of vision is a person of faith, driven by the Christ-like spirit of hope for a better future.
What a Vision-Minded Person Does Not Do
A vision-minded person doesn’t run because they see others running. They run when the vision says, “Run.”
A vision-minded person doesn’t get married because they see others getting married. They get married when the vision says, “Marry.”
A vision-minded person doesn’t sleep because they see others sleeping. They sleep because the vision says, “Sleep.”
They don’t compare themselves to others. God’s time is their time, and their time is God’s time. No amount of opposition or obstruction can change their minds.
They even embrace opposition because it helps them discover and develop better strategies and tactics to further their cause.
Vision-minded people, no matter what obstacles they face, can never be stopped. Vision is very powerful.
Things Vision Can Do for You
- With vision, there are no limits to what you can achieve.
- With vision, disability can become ability.
- With vision, you can make sense out of nonsense.
- With vision, you will see opportunities in difficulties.
- If you are a person of vision, you will see opportunities in difficulties. Challenges are an integral part of greatness.
- With vision, even in the midst of pain and agony, you will smile because you know God Almighty is still saying something.
- With vision, you will see miracles in obstacles.
Conclusion
If you don’t have a vision, you will be distracted by everything.
Did you once have a vision but lose it? This post is to encourage you. All you need to do is realign yourself with your vision. That your plan failed doesn’t mean your vision has failed.
Get back up and realign yourself with your vision. You were not born to be a failure.
Someone is waiting for you for a lifetime.
Your vision is connected to someone else’s vision. If you fail, they will fail.
Let your destination be your vision.
